things to do with fabric

When I got home last Friday, I found a parcel from India on my verandah.....

  love the way they sew their parcels into calico....

Inside the parcel was a sari and a card from Fiona from Pushkar - advising me that it is very HOT there at present.

 It's lovely green and white heavy silk - don't know what I'll do with it yet but it will be fun thinking about it.  And, there was a lovely spicy Indian smell when I opened the parcel.

A friend came to see me yesterday afternoon in a lovely cardigan which is evocative of a Japanese tattoo all over her back - looked amazing....

Probably cost more than a tattoo but would have been considerably less painful!!!!
Meanwhile - a few extra pieces of fabric seem to have crept into my sewing room........

I plan to make some nightie out of these

and this will stay in the bag till next Summer

as will these

and the sewing room looks used.....am also making a london skirt!
